Main Hall

The Main Hall of Legion Post 171 is rated per fire code for 299 guests. We do not rent to parties larger than 300 guests. 

While renters may move the tables and chairs to wherever they need them, there are two "usual" configurations:

1) 30 tables around the perimeter and back of the room. This leave the dance floor left open. In this configuration, you can seat 240 guests with 8 people (4 each side) per 8-foot rectangular table. You can also choose to seat 180 guests with 6 per table, 3 per side, to allow more elbow room. Note, in the "map" shown below, the orange-colored tables will NOT be used in this dance-floor configuration.

2) 42 tables in the room, with the dance floor space filled. In this configuration you can seat 252 people with 6 per table, and all 299 with 8 per table. 

Some of the photos show all the tables in place, while other photos show some of tables removed to allow for dance floor space. 

Accessibility: Reserved handicap accessible parking is provided near the front doors of the Main Hall. The entryway from the parking lot does not include stairs. The two front doors have a small threshold to cross, but this has not proven to be much of an issue for wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility aids.

Parking: There is sufficient parking in the front of the building for parties of this size. Note: guests of the Main Hall may not park in the back/downstairs lot. 

Smoking: There is NO smoking anywhere in the Post 171 building. Butt cans are provided by the two front doors.    

DJ and Band Setup: There is a non-movable band-stand type area in the front of the Main Hall. It shows up in the photos as the blue half wall. DJs and Bands with ANY amplifying or other electrical plug-in equipment MUST set up in or in front of the band stand area. No exceptions. This restriction is due to the location of the high-amperage rated outlets in that area.    

Floor Map:  See the floor map for the "usual" configuration of tables. Renters must return tables and chairs to this configuration (not including the orange tables) after their party.
